SR Little Sister has been having some problems. It seems like we have hit a wall. She has been spinning on me and I just dont know how to fix it. If she doesnt want to go in the direction she just wont. I was tired of fighting with her. I told Shane that we need to either sell her, keep trying, or find a professional to work with her. We chose to find a pro. I called several barns and researched to try to find the best person. I found Preston Kent at the Coyote Creek Barn in Saratoga Springs. I talked to him on the phone first. He actually called me after a few days to check on where we were at in the process. We scheduled a time to go down and meet with him. We were there talking for over an hour. He specializes in breaking colts. He has done many of them for his dad on their ranch in Malad, ID. Usually he deals with Arabians - he said they are hot blooded and need a lot of patience. I told him she must have an identity crisis cuz that is the definition of her. I told him everything that was going on with her all of the bad, and he just said you know I think we can get through that just fine. She has been there for a week - I cant wait to get to the 30 day mark to see the progress. I can see it already from working with her on the ground, but with riding her that may be a different story -- we will see. I am very optimistic.
