Roxxy

I love this dog - she is so funny. I was sitting by her on the couch and she was sleeping I couldnt stop laughing. I love this picture

She sits in this chair and sleeps in it - I am pretty sure she knows that she runs the house.

Jake

Jake is finally getting to an age where he is starting to calm down and not be so hyper. I love it - he is so cuddly and fun to play with. I get up for work around 5:30 and have caught him in a few funny spots - luckily I have my camera handy so I snapped a few pictures that make me smile.

I caught him curled up on the papa chair - it didnt seem to bother him that my clean laundry was there ready to be put away.

He pulled this pillow off of the couch and I found him sleeping on it in the morning. I think he thinks he is a people.

He likes to jump on the bed when after I get up so here he is stealing my spot and sleeping next to Shane.
Here he is rolling around like a crazy man at the park.

Buzz to the Rescue

We bought Shane a pony! He loves him - he has a hurt leg right now so Shane cannot ride him right but we can't wait for him to heal up.

His registered name is Freckles Bar Buzz

New Hair Cut

I cut my hair and I love it. I think I will keep it short for a while

New Toy

We traded in our 2007 horse trailer for a new 2008. We looked into it and decided to trade it in while it still had value. We got one that has a seperate tack room from where you sleep. It is so nice.
You can get into the tack room from both sides of the trailer
Our bed, its so comfortable. I ask Shane all the time if we can go and take a nap in the trailer.

The other tack room door and the door into the dressing room. There is a battery on the front so you can have the lights on without it being plugged into the truck.

Maybe A Little Training Will Help

SR Little Sister has been having some problems. It seems like we have hit a wall. She has been spinning on me and I just dont know how to fix it. If she doesnt want to go in the direction she just wont. I was tired of fighting with her. I told Shane that we need to either sell her, keep trying, or find a professional to work with her. We chose to find a pro. I called several barns and researched to try to find the best person. I found Preston Kent at the Coyote Creek Barn in Saratoga Springs. I talked to him on the phone first. He actually called me after a few days to check on where we were at in the process. We scheduled a time to go down and meet with him. We were there talking for over an hour. He specializes in breaking colts. He has done many of them for his dad on their ranch in Malad, ID. Usually he deals with Arabians - he said they are hot blooded and need a lot of patience. I told him she must have an identity crisis cuz that is the definition of her. I told him everything that was going on with her all of the bad, and he just said you know I think we can get through that just fine. She has been there for a week - I cant wait to get to the 30 day mark to see the progress. I can see it already from working with her on the ground, but with riding her that may be a different story -- we will see. I am very optimistic.

Her name card - I just love that it shows I have a trainer.

Little Patch of Heaven

I got a wild hair and decided I wanted to plant a garden in the back yard. I find it theraputic to dig in the soil and plant. I planted Carrots, Squash, Radishes, Cantelope, and Pumpkins. I am hoping that it will all grow. My radishes, pumpkins and squash are growing like crazy. I also planted a variety of sunflowers around the perimeter, they are doing well also. I cant wait to eat it all. Next year I might expand and have it be bigger and plant more items like corn, peas and cucumbers. Shane even custom made a sprinkler so I could make sure it gets plenty of water.

Radishes - grow baby grow

We put up a little fence to try to keep big yellow (Jake) out. His one paw could easily crush all of the plants.. ha ha

Proof that big yellow has been in the garden -- Very Naughty, thankfully there have been no casualties. He is actually pretty good about staying out of it.

The Best Vacation Ever!

I was lucky enough to be included in Shane's family vacation. We went on a 7 day cruise in the Eastern Carribean. It was so amazing. We had a blast ~ I took over 200 pictures so I will just post some of my favorite. I want to go back already.

Shane waiting for the shuttle at the SL airport - Happy to go on vacation!!

r Flight was over night. Needless to say everyone passed out as soon as we got into the room.

Our Cruise ship - It was huge! Carnival Triumph.

Standing on the boat in Miami waiting to leave.

TUG BOAT!!!

I could not believe how big that boat was. We were right up with the birds.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas - The first stop. I was just amazed at the color of the water.

Some people riding the horses on the beach.

Half Moon Cay

Shane and I walked down to see the horses. I am surprised they are alive - there does not seem to be much to eat. Shane fell in love with this horse. One of the guys running the excursion said that he would put this horse on the ferry and take it to the ship. He told us that we could keep it in our room and feed it apples until we got home. It was really funny

St. Thomas, USVI. Second stop. I loved this stop, it was my favorite of the entire trip. This guy was asking for donations for the Ass foundation. The little donkey was so cute, he had lipstick on her muzzle and everything. It was pretty entertaining.

Bath Time

Jake was in the back yard and it was snowing. I think he stood and stared in from the back door for an hour. So Shane's mom let him in, well he was muddy so I said we need to give him a bath so he can stay inside. He was such a good boy, he just sat there the whole time until we said he could get out.. He is for sure a water dog.

Relaxing after his bath

Sunset Over the Oquirrh Hills

I was in the South Jordan park with Shane and his friend Ben, they were practicing hitting with softballs to get ready for softball this spring. the sun was setting and I was lucky enough to have my camera. I cant believe how pretty it was.
